My first computer was an Apple IIe given to me by my Dad back in 1981, costing him $1,500. It had two floppy drives and an external fan/power supply. I learned to program in BASIC with it and played various games like Zork and The Black Cauldron. Eventually, it was discarded after I graduated college in 1996, although not before I could program a somewhat realistic flight simulation program with it with what college at Bucknell taught me in Calculus III
